Letters Solomon Has Sent Us
Solomon has been with us for almost a year now. His first letter to us was written on May 18, 2021 but we didn't receive it until December 2021. From what we can tell, some of our sponsored children live in the same village as evidenced by backgrounds in pictures and letter writing dates. Long delays in receiving letters is caused by the route these letters have to take and the impact of ongoing civil war in the region. Letters go by air, truck, bicycle, camel and foot to get to and from these rural villages.
In this drawing Solomon is also showing us what looks like a foot ball, a popular game with the kids. The tree was also seen in the drawing of other children. We noticed how many colors he used in shading the roof of the house as well.
Solomon is one of a few children who wrote us more than one letter. This one includes the same drawing elements of the first letter. Good to see he enjoys studying!
